Heartland Naturist Festival 2018

Friday - Sunday, July 13 - 15, 2018

Welcome to the Heartland Naturist Festival page. Here you will find details about the upcoming festival, including costs, dates, times, and event listings. Check back often. Times and events will change as we finalize the schedules closer to the event.

The Heartland Naturist Festival is the largest three-day, family-friendly nudist/naturist festival in the Heartland of the United States. People come from all over the US to attend!

Have fun playing giant games, such as Giant Jenga and Giant Connect 4. We will also have frisbees, croquet, and a volleyball net set up, as well as smaller games. If you get tired playing games, you can explore the 168 acres of trails, woods, and fields. Head down to the lake for skinny dipping, then either lie on the floating dock in the lake, or spread a blanket under a tree and nap.

Three days of fun!

We expanded the Festival to three days last year and the reception was phenomenal, so we'll do it again this year. We will begin activities on Friday afternoon and run through Sunday. Stay tuned for the expanded schedule of events.

Saturday morning, early risers can begin with yoga and breakfast. Spend the aftenoon socializing, playing games, getting a caricature portrait made, or enjoying the lake. Saturday evening, we will have a massive water fight, followed by a taco bar buffet dinner and group games. As the sun goes down, we'll turn the stage over to DJ Slice, who will crank the music up and get our dance party going. Body paint and glow bracelets will be available to decorate yourself and dance the evening away. It's always a fun time!

If you're not up for the upbeat dance party, you can retreat to the camping field where a large bonfire will be going. Listen to the warm crackling of the fire, roast some smores, and chat with fellow nudists while the crickets, owls, and frogs provide nature's background music. And, July 12 will be a new moon, so if we get clear skies, the stars will be bright and the view of the Milky Way will be amazing! If you have a telescope, this will be the perfect opportunity to bring it out!

Once the dance party is over around 10:45pm, one of our volunteer guides will lead a group on a night luminary walk along wooded trails and fields, lit by glow sticks set up to light the route.

Saturday's planned events end with a midnight skinny dip in the lake and/or enjoying the bonfire until it burns out. A strict 1:00am to 6:00am quiet time will ensure enough rest for Sunday's events.

Sunday morning will begin for some with a hot breakfast. Registration for our 18th annual 5k Sun Run will be from 8:00am to 9:00am, with the run kicking off at 9:00am. The top two male and top two female finishers will receive prizes, while all participants will receive a commemorative medal.

While the runners/walkers are participating in the 5k, others can enjoy more games and music with others, or escape to the lake for some more skinny dipping. Be back with the group between 11am and noon for a hot dog lunch, more music and games, presentation of awards, and drawing for the 50/50 raffle.

By Sunday afternoon. most people are ready to wind down and spend time relaxing at the lake before they have to pack up and go back home to reality and clothing. So, while we will have giant games and music Sunday afternoon, feel free to hike the 168 acres or lounge at the lake to close out the Festival.

Silent Auction

New for this year, we're having a silent auction to raise money to support HNF. We already have some great donations, and are working to secure a few more. The silent auction bidding will end at noon on Sunday, July 15, 2018. The highest bidder for each item will be notified and should make payment promptly via check, cash, or PayPal (with additional fees). The bidder does not have to be present to win but must provide contact information.

The items we have so far include:

-- Sandy Lane Club has offered Saturday night in the Papa Bear cabin and grounds fees for Saturday and Sunday on a non-holiday weekend. This would be a regular price $100 value. Papa Bear is the largest and nicest of their cabins.

-- Prairie Haven has offered a free weekend to include day fees and two nights lodging. This offer would exclude holiday weekends and their two special weekends of Luau and Halloween. They calculate this to be over a $200 value.

-- A member professional videographer has offered a $50 gift certificate for video services. (restrictions apply)
